While I still have a lot of mixed feelings on the new 3DS, I am thankful for one thing it has given us–Themes. I thought it’d be fun to go through the list (although, I’m sure not all of them will come over unfortunately… it’d be nice though!) and pick out my favorites.
1. Peach Theme:
To be honest, I’d like this more if they went with a lighter shade of pink instead of the fuchsia color they decided to use. That said, I still love the folder design for it.
2. Animal Crossing – Mayor’s Office Theme:
This is just really adorable.
3 & 4. Animal Crossing – Able Sister’s Themes:

I’ve always loved the teal/pink color combinations and these are just very cute.
5. Pink/White Striped Theme:
This is probably the theme I’ll end up using. It’s kind of plain which makes me sad, but it’s the shade of pink I prefer.
6. Round Peach Theme:
Though, this is definitely a close runner-up. I just wish they made the top more “Peach” or even “Princess” themed versus the generic design each Mario Round theme has.
I kind of hope if they continue adding new themes, maybe we’ll even be able to mix and match from the ones we buy–like this for example:
(Using the Buttons from Peach Rounded theme, Folder Design from the Peach theme, Bottom Wallpaper of Peach Rounded theme, and Top Wallpaper of the Sable Able Theme)
Or a 2nd version which just switches the bottom buttons from the Peach Rounded theme to the Pink/White Striped theme:
