You can find my playthrough of the event here!
The Event involves you earning Event currency through playing a minigame up to three times a day. When you’ve earned at least 500 Event Currency, you can use it to spin for either a prize or an episodic adventure with an LI to earn their illustration.
Dialogue choices do not matter so just pick which you’d like! All answers are neutral as well and have no effect on the LoM. There is also no illustration choice, despite which costume the MC wears in the illustrations varying (Elf costume for Thomas, Roy, and Jason and the Nutcracker costume for Devon and Amanda).
Essentially, you’re helping Santa Claus out at the mall, but alas, something goes wrong (what specifically varies based off which route you get) and it’s up to LI and the MC, either by request or demand, to take care of it.
With the exception of Jason (unless his childhood dream was to be Santa…), each thing an LI has to take care of has to do with what their dream was as a child:
– Devon: To be a veterinarian and take care of wild animals.
– Amanda: To be a dancer at the Opera and become a Prima Ballerina.
– Thomas: To fly through Space (as himself– not through some kind of spacecraft or anything)
– Roy: To be part of a movie
Unfortunately, we do not get our own special childhood wish version :(
If you land on Devon:
The person who was supposed to lead the Animal Parade is unable to come. He was doing some maintenance and injured himself, though nothing serious. Because of that, they need someone to help lead the animatronic Polar Bear to help lead the rest of the animals to follow along for the parade.
Thomas says how Devon is essentially the leader of all of them, thus Devon gets put into the position with the MC helping.
• (He’ll look great wearing this!)
• (I hope he’ll accept to wear it!)
• (He can come look himself if he doesn’t like it.)
If you land on Amanda:
The two main dancers for the Nutcracker ended up getting sick after going to an all-you-can-eat buffet the night before and because understudies weren’t considered for this comprised version of the Nutcracker, Amanda ends up being asked to fill in as Clara and she asks you to help fill in for the Nutcracker.
Amanda: Wow! That looks great on you!
• Really? I don’t feel comfortable…
• You’re the one who looks great!
• Really, you think so?
If you land on Roy:
A made for TV movie is going to be filmed and people keep walking in front of the cameras so Santa asks for you to help prevent people from doing that. Devon splits everyone off into pairs.
Roy: You don’t agree?!
• Hmm… Maybe if it was for a real movie…
• I don’t know, it doesn’t really do anything for me…
• Of course I do! An occasion like this doesn’t presents itself everyday!
Suddenly, the two of you overhear some of the staff arguing. Apparently two extras are missing, and the costumes were specifically picked for them. Santa suddenly appears and suggests the two of you and apparently you both look similar to the missing extras so you’re cast for the part.
If you land on Jason:
Santa had some personal issues come up, so Jason is filling in for him, much to the amusement of you and your co-workers. Alas, Jason needs an Elf to help him and picks you for the job regardless of your own feelings on it.
• Well. I have to get back to work!
• Elenda, didn’t you say earlier that you’d fine this fun…?
• I can do it, if you want!
Whoever your highest (or second highest if your highest is Jason) will give you some reassurance and say how they are there if you need them before everyone else heads off. If you haven’t played far enough into Episode 1 to have at least met one of the LIs, the episode will actually bug out and break here until you have done this or Beemoov puts in some kind of fix.
You then get to work controlling the crowd and being surprised how Jason is actually good with the kids. After some comments back and forth, they decide to take a photo together as there is one left. Jason pulls Candy up, with her thinking he was just going to pull her up on the sled, but he pulls her onto his lap and asks what she wants for Christmas.
You then get interrupted by the flash of the camera and tell Jason he can keep the photo.
If you land on Thomas:
The special Starry Sky Space Adventure Simulation (not the actual name) isn’t working so Thomas is asked to try and fix it and you go along to assist. If you get it working, Santa says the two of you can be the first to test it out.
But before you head over there, you must change into Elf costumes.
Thomas: You’re not too bad yourself as an elfette.
• Do you think a female elf is an “elfette”?
• Thanks…
• I’m sure we make a beautiful couple… of elves!
It initially doesn’t seem like it can be fixed, but in the end, it works out and the two of you get to check it out, much to Thomas’ delight.
