So, late last night when I was getting ready for bed and finishing up, there was a sudden alert on the screen… It turned out that a baby was born!
I’ll be honest, that happened a lot quicker than I expected. I mean, they were literally doing stuff like bouncing on the bed and being on the ferris wheel last:
But yes, after taking care of Marina, everything was happy:
Of course, other antics were happening too–such as Singing Practice at Solo’s, ChibiUsa and Ami having a Picnic, and the first meeting of the Ponytail Club.
Today, I received another alert pretty early on as they needed some help:
Thankfully, this was easier than the game I played last night… Look how cute they are playing together:
I also sent them on a Family Vacation together–this time they went to Tahiti:
And took some family portraits:
And baby portraits:
Meanwhile, love is blossoming for other couples–Kujo asked out Victorique…
She said yes!:
And our other Zero (dubbed MM Zero) decided to propose to Ciel:
As for her answer…well:
The wedding:
They chose to have their Honey Moon in Peru:
And here they are in their new home:
Making them my 2nd married couple :D They’d be 3rd or 4th, but I screwed up the other two and they haven’t asked again yet :( These two were much easier honestly.
Meanwhile, Zero and Jennifer took their Baby, Marina, to the tower:
I am looking forward to seeing how they will look once grown. I still haven’t decided if I should let her travel or move into the apartment though! *can’t decide* T~T
Also, today happens to be Mikayla’s birthday! :D And of course, also her Mii’s Mika’s birthday!:
I love the birthday stuff they do. I can’t wait until my birthday.
If you haven’t noticed yet, the Celebrity Miis that were shown in Nintendo’s various Tomodachi Life Trailers can actually be downloaded through QR Codes on the Official Tomodachi Life website or the QR Codes I have shown under each Mii’s description! Scanning through Town Hall is actually really neat as it keeps the characters with the outfit, personality, voice, interior, and etc. making it more like it’s that exact Mii versus just the starting one from Mii Maker. If you transfer wirelessly, the Mii will also keep it’s favorite food list among other things. It’s a really neat feature to say the least.
While I’m not a big celebrity person (so I don’t know if I will keep them just yet!), I thought it’d be fun to check what each one had.
To start, each one DOES come with gold pants–however, they can not be sent to Mii Maker (or edited in any way). I’m not sure why you can’t (I really wanted to move them to Mii Maker to then move to my Plaza so I’m a bit disappointed about it to be honest), but you can’t and it kind of stinks >> Similarly, like many of the special QR Codes, if you delete them, you can never scan them again. I don’t know if this also applies in the sense that if a friend tried to send them Wirelessly they still could (they may not be allowed to even be sent), but yeah.
I’d also like to point out that even though these Miis will probably have items you want, they do not get added to your shop (which was what I was hoping after failing at sending them to Mii Maker… but nope T~T)
So first up, Christina Aguilera!
She comes with the Spring Interior (SO CUTE T~T), the V-neck top Outfit in Black, Regular Clothes in Red, the Trilby hat in Black, and the catchphrase “Sing strong!”. She has the “Independent Artist” Personality.
Her QR Code:
Second, Shaquille O’Neal!
He comes with the Soccer Stadium Interior, the Star T-shirt in Black, Regular Clothes in Red, and the catchphrase “Show me ur best!”. He has the “Outgoing/Entertainer” Personality. He’s the only one that has a different outfit than his Mii’s icon on the site.
His QR Code:
Third, Debby Ryan!
She comes with the Purple Interior, the Dress & Jacket Outfit in Blue, Regular Clothes in Light Green, and the catchphrase “What’s up!”. She has the “Outgoing/Entertainer” Personality.
Her QR Code:
Fourth, Shaun White!
He comes with the Street Interior, the Peacoat Outfit (Kind of cute) in Black, Regular Clothes in Black, and the catchphrase “BOOM!”. He has the “Outgoing/Trendsetter” Personality.
His QR Code:
And last, but not least: Zendaya!
She comes with the Sparkle Interior (The interior Blue gave me that I want T~T I don’t care much for the shoes and stuff shown, but the pink and sparklyness and door are soooo cute!) the Flower Leggings Outfit in Black, Regular Clothes in Black, and the catchphrase “Time to dance!”. She has the “Easygoing/Buddy” Personality.
Her QR Code:
Also, Nintendo’s Island’s address is super cute. I’m not going to spoil it, but I am envious of it! Mine sounds so savory–I wish it was a bit sweeter like Nintendo’s.
But yes, while there isn’t much reward if you don’t care about the celebrities themselves, I still think it’s a pretty neat feature <3
Note: I received the game early from Nintendo. Thank you, Nintendo! :D If you are interested in Tomodachi Life, you may want to look into picking it up!
So, Tomodachi Life is officially out which is super exciting! I also posted up my review today :)
I also headed to the Nintendo Store to pick up some stuff today after work–sadly, I didn’t manage to get any StreetPasses for Tomodachi Life! I did get some overall though:
I mostly just used them in Flower Town though–I don’t know how to get further where I am in Mii Force without an Orange shirt Mii, I can only use black shirts right now in Monster Manor, and Warrior’s Way is done so… I also got a few new puzzle pieces which is always nice.
As for what I picked up…:
:D :D :D :D :D
It even came with a pink rubber case, a wristband, and batteries!
I honestly didn’t expect any of that so XD The Peach Wiimote Plus is REALLY nice quality so I’m super happy I got it. Can’t wait to use it.
Moving back to Tomodachi Life, the first SpotPass item came out today! A Graduation Hat:
It comes in Black, Red, and Blue :D The item is only available for a week so be sure to pick up the game soon if you want it!
This opened up Import Wear for me which was one of the buildings I still needed!:
Sadly, I still need to StreetPass someone for the other…
At the very least, I was finally able to pick up the dress I had set as my Import Item!:
It has an awesome description:
I had planned to have Jennifer wear it, but it was short lived as I gave her a sewing machine and well…
I was so excited, I didn’t even get a chance to screenshot after she made it. So happy T~T
Plus some other random highlights!:
I have the final apartment size! It will not upgrade again and I can have up to 100 in it.
Love and Marriage:
The news reports are so silly:
Playing Wii U:
I love how they can be using the Gamepad, just the Wiimote, or the Wiimote + Nunchuk. And they are pretty active too.
They really act out what they are doing fairly well (and celebrate or get sad depending on victory or defeat).
Having fun randomly:
The Kid-o-Matic and Age-o-Matic:
And some photos:
Finally, my friend Blue actually put my Mii in her game!:
I really hope that interior shows up in my game soon T~T
Tomodachi Life is a Life Simulation game. It is actually a sequel game (the original being out for the DS), but the first game was Japan only. I always thought this game looked like a lot of fun so I was really excited when I heard we’d be getting one. While the game is a Life Simulation and definitely has some things that remind you of the Sims, I’d say it actually feels closer to a Pet Simulation game. That isn’t necessarily bad, but it means a lot of their actions are much more passive and there isn’t as much free will for the Miis. You pretty much oversee them completely with your realistic hands helping out every so often. Though, if you’ve seen my playthroughs you probably already know about the basic game play.
Mario Kart 8 is the newest (and 8th if you couldn’t guess, minus the Arcade versions) installment of the Mario Kart series. It brings quite a bit of new stuff while still retaining many old features. While the courses are fun to race on, I feel that’s the main thing the game has going for it. The game sadly brings back several things I’m not too fond of which kind of ruins the enjoyment, despite the creativity of most of the tracks. I will start by saying if you’re expecting to hear tons of good things about the game, this may not be the review for you as I’ll be offering a bit of a different point of view. That said, if you enjoy the Mario Kart Series, you should still enjoy this one and the graphics are lovely, if you care about that kind of stuff.
Even the smallest details can be pretty fun to take note of–such as how a Mii could be playing with a different dog/cat due to the fact that it’s a “Rent” coupon.
I wish I could have tons of dogs and cats all at once though… I wonder how many different ones there are.
Not to mention it’s still fun to see what happens next–here they are playing the Wii U–Carlos and Jennifer even have Wiimotes!:
It’s a pretty crazy match:
Full House:
I also managed to unlock another Ranking board!:
I still have two left, but I’m not sure what they are or how to unlock them :(
Jennifer and Zero/Mark went on another trip:
And also went to Japan again too:
Finally, I managed to give her the 10,000 needed for a trip…
…and thus, they went to space!:
So, Mario Kart 8 came out in North America today! I’ve been enjoying the courses a lot, though, my index finger hurts from how much drifting is required (how much I suck at said drifting doesn’t help). I won’t talk too much about issues though as I do plan to write a review sometime soon :)
Moving on, I sadly still haven’t been able to unlock Prancer :( Even after doing a 32 course versus match and all the cups… I plan to do 150CC on each next but bleh, super disappointed. I don’t want to play online until I have the Cloud Glider and Prancer Kart so…
I did do some uploads from the ingame uploader thingy however:
My fiancé and I playing–I really love Moo Moo Meadows.
Another of my favorite courses.
I actually got to break a Blue Shell with the Horn in this one.
I actually am really surprised I won–I fell off the track, but ended up landing below it and managed to skate ahead to victory.
SO much love for Moo Moo Meadows.
And trying out the Teddybear Buggy while I continue to try for the Prancer Kart T__T
I seem to play better with my Mii, but I’m really not fond of the outfit in the game. It looks so bulky and the helmet really annoys me. I wish our Miis could just have a few outfits to choose from or something–I’d love to ride in a kart as my Mii with Princess Peach’s crown and dress :(
Also, be sure to check out the latest Nintendo Minute to finish up “Mario Kart MAY-hem” if you have been enjoying Mario Kart 8!:
It has an amazing giveaway at the end (and wow do I hope I win somehow because I’d cry tears of happiness at the idea of a figure of my Mii riding in the Prancer Kart T~T)
As for Tomodachi Life, I’m still enjoying it tons! I just wish more friendship and relationship stuff would happen, but they just seem to so up so rarely even with so many Miis… Still an incredibly fun game though. Hopefully I’ll have another entry soon :) And the review will be up on June 6th! If you are feeling impatient, Nintendo is still uploading fun Tomodachi Life videos:
So, I’m looking forward to E3. Not necessarily out of hoping for anything specific, but just because I have fun seeing the announcements–it’s part of why I love Nintendo Directs so much. I will be watching all of the presentations and hoping there will be games that get my attention.
Despite that, I don’t really have any predictions like most people do. I mean, I’d expect them to talk about the Ruby and Sapphire remakes (and hope for game footage) plus Smash Brothers stuff, but I think that’s kind of a given?
I do wonder if they will mention Tomodachi Life at all despite it being released before then. Similarly, I wonder if the Wii U version of Pushmo will be out at all despite it being out shortly after E3 and a trailer already being up:
(I am looking forward to getting it–also looking forward to Mario Kart arriving in the mail tomorrow… Sad I had to work today and wasn’t able to go to the Nintendo Store event :( (also looking forward to the Gamecube Controller USB Adapter thing) )
As for stuff I’d LIKE to see… nothing that I actually consider ever has a chance of happening.
The closest I can think of is Little Big Planet 3 which is kind of mixed because:
1. I still haven’t finished 2–still have some Acing to do with the extra packs.
2. I’m not fond of the Move or Vita packs as I don’t find either very comfortable and I feel those would be used even more in a third game.
3. I wasn’t fond of how some items were removed from inventories and re-put in the game to earn again. Some of those items were quite hard to earn in LBP1 as it is–wasn’t fun to have to get them all over again and while I didn’t use most of the ones that this happened to, my fiancé did.
Maybe a chance for a new Modnation Racers? But I think since Little Big Planet Karting happened (which in my opinion wasn’t even as good), it’s unlikely.
I also hope we’ll see stuff of the new Harvest Moon game… which is Story of Seasons and not done by Natsume and is being done by XSEED which is one of Marvelous’ branches so I GUESS that makes sense but I’m still incredibly confused about it.
But like I said, besides that, I truly can’t think of anything in particular I really want to see that has any chance of happening. What kind of things do I dream of that are never going to happen?
1. A Pokemon Snap sequel. I think they could do a lot with it–especially if the 3DS itself acted like the camera. You go around and kind of like how Denpa Man works, you’d see the Pokemon in the real world–possibly based off where you go or what you’re looking at… just randomly generated and you get to try and catch it (or instantly like the Google Map’s Pokemon Challenge thing). Then connect to the Wii U to upload them, show them to Professor Oak, maybe unlock stuff, etc. I just think it’d be really cool.
2. A Pokemon MMO – Besides the fact that as new games with new Pokemon come out (although, I am kind of tired of new Pokemon) there can be expansions, I feel that the idea of Pokemon which is exploring around with these Pokemon you become friends with and also other trainers is really neat and could work well with an MMO. Not to mention there could be two different fighting styles–a turn-based type like the games and a more action-type that is similar to the Anime where you would get control of the Pokemon and actually get to use it to properly dodge or do combinations you wouldn’t normally get to do. You could actually make a secret hide out somewhere, decorate your own room, customize your trainer, and explore every region.
Heck, I’d be happy for a Pokemon game that would just let me go to every region in one already T__T
Regardless, I know those won’t happen, but it’s still kind of fun to dream. And it doesn’t lessen the excitement of E3 for me.
And maybe I’ll even see something for the Xbox I want (enough that I’ll pick up an Xbox One)–sadly, the last Xbox game I really liked was Kinectimals which I couldn’t play that well because our “living room” area isn’t large enough for the Kinect to read us properly :/ So bleh.
There is one thing that I really hope is announced though and will be upset if it isn’t… Jigglypuff better be announced as a returning fighter in Smash Brothers. T__T SHE MUST RETURN.
But yes, now back to waiting @-@ (and dreaming of one day actually being able to go to E3 and see it live!)
I haven’t mentioned baking in a while which I guess makes sense–things have been busy. Regardless, my fiancé hasn’t been feeling too great and two of his favorite things are Red Velvet Cake and White Chocolate, so I decided to make some Red Velvet White Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Red Velvet isn’t really my thing (despite my love of chocolate so not entirely sure why), but these cookies are quite good–though, very sweet. Still was fun to try something new :) And he’s loving them so that’s what counts. Hopefully he’ll feel a lot better tomorrow!
